The Department of Psychological Sciences at Tarleton State University invites applications for two open-rank faculty positions in the area of School Psychology at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank, with a start date of September 1, 2024. These are both full-time, tenure-track, 9-month positions with primary teaching responsibility on the Stephenville campus.


Successful candidates will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the psychological sciences, establish a strong line of research with active mentorship of graduate students, and provide service to the university. In particular, the individuals selected will teach and mentor students in courses and activities related to our new Specialist in School Psychology program.


Applicants must have an earned doctoral degree in School Psychology or closely related field (ABD will be considered) and must hold (or be eligible for) the Specialist in School Psychology license (LSSP) and/or the Licensed Psychologist (LP) from the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists. Applicants must have prior experience working in PreK-12 educational settings with children and their families in assessment, consultation, and intervention. Finally, applicants must have a record of research that is commensurate with the rank at which they will be hired.
