Description
Provide referral information to students, families, program and professionals regarding the needs of referred students
Obtain consent for psycho-educational evaluations
Utilize various assessment instruments and techniques as a part of multidisciplinary team to assist in identifying students eligible for Special Education Services and in determining appropriate intervention strategies and techniques
Organize assignments to meet due dates and mandated timelines
Write full and individual evaluation reports to address the needs of the student and guide instruction
Provide referral information to students, families, program and professionals regarding the needs of referred students
Conduct Functional behavior assessments to assist in the development of behavior intervention plans.
Conduct Counseling as a Related Service Evaluations
Provide Counseling as a Related Service to students on assigned caseload
Participate in Manifestation Determination ARD Committee meetings
Comply with all state and federal rules, laws, policies and guidelines related to special education of students with disabilities.
Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned
Qualifications
Master's Degree, Specialist Degree, or Doctorate degree from an accredited university or eligible for Internship or eligible for LSSP trainee.
Licensed Specialist in School Psychology or eligible for Internship or eligible for LSSP trainee.
Knowledge of the administration and interpretation of a wide variety of psychoeducational evaluation instruments
Proficient in district provided software and technology including the Special Education Data Management System
Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral formats
Must be willing and able to travel throughout the district
