At NEISD, all LSSP interns receive individual supervision by a Lead School Psychologist or Director, as well as weekly group supervision that allows our students to benefit from shared experiences. Beyond quality supervision, our structured internship training program also provides a wide variety of supported learning opportunities to foster independence and supported skill development in all of the NASP practice domains.

Evaluation Duties in NEISD

In North East ISD, our 50+ evaluators are assigned using a collaborative, cluster-based model working together with educational diagnosticians. Each LSSP is typically assigned to 1-2 elementary, or a single secondary school to support the ARD process. To ensure a pre-identified maximum evaluation caseload is not exceeded, all evaluation assignments are monitored by the Lead LSSP Team

ARD Duties in NEISD

LSSPs in North East ISD are respected and valued members of our campus communities. They collaborate and engage with students, families and teachers, and provide a variety of special education services, including related-service counseling, and support IEP development, but are not assigned case management or ARD facilitation duties.
